In addition to managing and conducting QCAS CAA Self-Assessments and Peer Reviews, the NIQCA provides the following assistance and support to local CAAs:

  • NIQCA “Bank of Experts” Technical Resource Directory, which provides information on both CAA senior staff and consultants who have the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to help local CAAs address management needs ranging from governance to finance.
  • Training and Development. As needs are identified, the NIQCA will schedule specialized trainings, workshops, and seminars to develop the ideas, skills, and knowledge required to strengthen agency governance and management practices.

    Current offerings include the following specialized trainings:
    • Promoting CAA Governance Excellence and Preventing Crisis. This training is designed for CAA boards and managers (2hrs).
    • Risky Business: Tips on Developing a CAA Risk Management Plan. This training is for CAA senior managers (2hrs).
    Trainings may involve a modest fee to cover direct costs.
  • Crisis Intervention Technical Assistance and Support. Services customized to address individual agency needs.
