Peer Reviewer Certification
Overview
Peer Review is a longstanding and accepted method of assessing professional practice. The Peer Review process mobilizes experienced and talented professionals to share their knowledge with colleagues in a structured assessment that combines independence, objectivity, and understanding. The process is cost effective and promotes shared learning and professional development. The Peer Review assessment, coupled with an agency’s internal self-assessment, offers a more complete picture of organizational strengths and deficiencies. Peer Review represents a personal and organizational investment in strengthening system-wide CAA management practices.
NIQCA welcomes CAA senior staff interest in serving as a Peer Reviewer. In feedback, current Reviewers universally endorse and recommend the experience to their colleagues.
Training
All NIQCA Peer Reviewers must complete a 2-day training to be certified. Trainings are normally scheduled twice a year. Please see the Job Description listed below for details on requirements and qualifications.
